Roman Forum

Roman Forum

A "Roman Forum" was a public square in a cities that usually had big markets and had a big population. It was constructed using the Ionic order and was built using stone or marble. It first appeared in 55BC and was developed from the Ancient Greek construction the "Agora" which was the gathering centre in most of the Greek cities. A notable Roman Forum was built during the Roman architectural period was the Forum in Rome the capital of Italy.
